CHUCKY (Child's Play)

A successful American suspense -horror film created by Don Mancini.

the movies is all about a doll serial killer named Chucky.

Charles 'Chucky" Lee a serial killer and a voodoo practitioner who also known as 

The Lakeshore Strangler

was mortally  wounded due to gun shot by a detective named Mike Norris.

But before dying he successfully transferred his soul into a doll by means of a voodoo ritual.

But transferring his soul into a doll doesn't stop Chucky on doing what he used to do which is killing.

The story goes by as he seek for vengeance and as he search for a new mortal body to have

himself a new real life body once again.

 The movie was first released on the year 1988 and produces 

4 more successful installments in the following years.

Installment such as Child's Play I(1988)Child's Play II(1990)Child's Play III(1991)

Bride of Chucky(1998) ans lastly Seed of Chucky(2004).

The whole movies series gains a total gross of $176,042,376

from a total budget of $59,000,000.

Chucky had become an icon in horror film industry.

Resident Evil

A horror-SciFi-zombie movie series directed by several directors

derived on a famous Capcom game.

the movie was first released in the year 2002

The critics were shock to see the film was lead by

a character does not appear on the real game.

A character named Alice played my Milla Jovovich.

 

Alice was a former security officer of Umbrella corporation and

is infected by a virus named T-virus.

T-virus is a chemical that can transform a being into a

flesh-eating zombies.But the mutation occur in Alice was

different for it gives her psychic powers instead of being

a zombie.

The story goes on as the said virus spreads around

the world and as the human race being extinct.

The story is still on run for the T-virus and the zombie

crisis wasn't resolved yet.

Alice along with other survivors and those characters

belongs to the game such as

Claire Redfield and brother Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine 

continue on their journey as they struggle for

survival.

  

So far the first movie produced 3 more sequels such as

Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Extinction and

the latest that comes in 3D Resident Evil: After Life.

The movie gains a total gross of $102,441,078 from a budget

of $33,000,000 which just shows how the movie hits.

THE MIST

Stephen King's Novel

An American horror film derived from a 1980 novella of

Stephen king.Me and my friend watched the movie and we

find it great.The movie was directed by an award winning director,

Frank Darabont.And filmed in Shreveport, Louisiana .

Starring by Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden, Laurie Holden, 

Samuel Witwer, Toby Jones, Nathan Gamble, 

Andre Braugher, and Frances Sternhagen.

The story happened on a town named Brigdton,Maine.

the terror begun when the town were covered with a mysterious mist.

Beyond their knowing theres a lot of blood-Thirsty creatures hiding

on this mist waiting for their victims.The characters along with the

other people of the town were trapped in a local grocery store.But yet

they were not safe at all.Its soon revealed that the mist were caused

by a rumored attempt to look into another dimension.

And within the store there was a lady who was mentally unstable

and religious fanatic who believed her self to be a prophet of god.

She told the people within the store that they must sacrifice someone every

night for the safety of others.

soon the lady insist to sacrifice the son of the main character,that drives them

to escape in the store and hoping to escape the mist as well.

some died as they run going to their car.Five of them got into the car and they

drove until their fuel got empty.

Now this is what makes this movie ending above all.They were all

hopeless and suicidal for they cant find a way to escape such a nightmare

they got into.They got a gun that they will use to kill themselves but

the gun has only four bullets and its not enough to kill them all.

The main character decided to kill the other four and go out to

feed himself to the scary monsters.

As he shouts and summons the monsters he was hearing huge

sound coming near to him.and as the mist fades out, military

tanks were revealed and declared the situation under control.

Sadly he had lost his son and whats worst is that the

boy was killed by his own hand.

Is it great?the most unexpected ending I watched.

sad but yet uniquely great.

I had a hard time putting it out of my mind.

For that I rate this movie 4 stars.
